WPC flooring is the first actual premium flooring that is 100% waterproof. Many other manufacturers claim WPC flooring to be a subcategory of laminate flooring because of how both types of flooring are produced. Although this may be true, the materials used during production are completely different. WPC stands for “wood polymer/plastic composite,” which is a hybrid blend of wood fiber and thermoplastic (ie. polyethylene, polypropylene, or polylactic acid).
Our Antigua Collection and Green Paradise Collection are renowned for superior WPC quality. What makes our WPC flooring more durable than others’? All of our WPC flooring from the collections above is produced with a layer of LVT, or luxury vinyl tile, and a bottom layer of EVA foam padding. EVA foam is one of the more superior foams because it substantially reduces sound, which is great for multi-floor apartment/condominium projects that must comply with sound inspections.
WPC flooring is considered a “floating floor,” which means you’ll only need foam padding to install the floors. Since WPC flooring from the Antigua Collection and Green Paradise Collection come with EVA foam padding attached, you won’t have to worry about buying additional underlayment… and with our easy-to-install interlock drop-click system, you won’t have to worry too much about installing either.
